NAIROBI—45 more people have tested positive for coronvirus in the last 24-hours, the highest to since the first case was reported over 50 days ago. The positive Covid-19 cases now stand at 535.
While addressing the press at Afya House in Nairobi, Cabinet Secretary for Health Mutahi Kagwe said 29 of the cases were in Nairobi, 11 in Mombasa and five in Wajir.
“All of Nairobi’s new patients were from Eastleigh,” Kagwe said.
This latest numbers of surge in the Covid-19 cases has raised the total number of cases in Eastleigh to 63, making it a hot spot in Nairobi.
One is a foreign national from Somalia.A total of 1,077 tests were done in the last 24 hours.
