NAIROBI – Dr. Ahmed Kalebi received a delegation from Alliance Medical Centre Garissa for a tour of DKL Dr. Kalebi Labs. The visit was aimed at aligning with the latest health care development in Kenya.
The team, led by Alliance Medical Centre Garissa director, Dr. Abdishukri Ismail, visited the state-of-the-art ISO15189-accredited Class G laboratory, marking an important step towards potential collaboration.
During the visit Alliance Hospital team showcased DKL’s advanced laboratory technologies, including the first-of-its-kind in Africa total lab automation (TLA) system.
As the first private Class G lab in Kenya, DKL is pioneering innovative and disruptive systems designed to streamline sample referrals, test consultations, and results delivery.
Building on this engagement, DKL later hosted Alliance Hospital’s Administrator, Abdigani Ahmed Haji, along with their Lab Manager, Abdirazak Mohamed Ismail, for an in-depth discussion on operational details.
The meeting focused on establishing a seamless partnership between the hospital and the lab, emphasizing the benefits of the DKL App and DKL Client Portals.
These digital platforms aim to enhance efficiency in real-time online billing, consultations, and data accessibility for medical professionals and patients alike.
Dr. Kalebi expressed enthusiasm about expanding outreach services in Garissa and beyond.
“Our goal is to ensure that advanced laboratory services are not only available but also affordable and equitably accessible across the country and the region,” he stated.

DKL is a private company registered on December 22, 2023. It is a modern and advanced Kenyan laboratory, built from the ground up, and recognized as a top-tier clinical diagnostics and referral lab by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
