BREAKING NEWS 

WAJIR—Anti graft czars are now set to target Wajir County governor over loss of sh 350 million.

Detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Saturday raided the residence of Wajir Governor Mohamed Abdi in Nairobi and Wajir town.

The detectives secures trove of documents they said would aid in the investigation into how sh 350 was lost since last financial year.

The detectives also unearthed lose of “huge amounts of money that was lost through dubious vouchers.”

In Wajir, EACC arrested the KCB Wajir branch manager, Siyat Ibrahim.

In Lower Kabete, the detectives arrested the spouse of Wajir County head of treasury, Sonia Mworia who is believed to the mastermind of the shocking scheme.

“She destroyed vital documents to conceal the embezzlement, ” a brief statement by the EACC said.
