GARISSA—Former Fafi legislator who served the constituency between 2002-2013 has declared his intent to vie for the seat in the next General Election.

Speaking after he was endorsed by section of clan elders from Fafi Constituency, Major-Rtd Aden Sugow expressed his gratitude adding that he would step aside and drop his bid if the community were to find another better placed candidate for the 2022 elections, saying unity was his goal.

Sugow also called on the constituents to go out of its  way and support his candidature, pledging that he would work for better service delivery.

“I would like to thank the distinguished elders and the youth who attended the meeting and honoured my request to run for the Fafi parliamentary seat,” Sugow, who vied as senator for Garissa County in the 2017 polls, said.

The constituency is now severed as Member of Parliament by Abdikarim Osman.
