NAIROBI—Four Nordic ambassadors have paid the governor of Makueni, Prof Kivutha Kibwana a visit on Tuesday to learn the successful running of devolution.
Envoys from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark hailed the governor for channeling resources towards projects of immense benefit to the locals.
“I am honoured to host Nordic ambassadors of Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, who are in Makueni to learn about our devolution success stories,” the governor said.
The envoys also hailed the Village People Forum, a platform by the county government to create space for the locals to voice their needs ahead of budgetary allocations.
“We are here to laud you and also note that other leaders should follow suit as devolution is key for achieving the Big agenda,” Erick Lundberg, the Sweden envoy to Kenya said.
