Government Set to Launch e-Procurement System on July 1, 2025

NAIROBI – The government is preparing to roll out a new e-Government Procurement System.

It is set to begin on 1st July 2025.

Mr. Felix Koskei, the Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service confirmed on Saturday.

He said he received a full briefing from the National Treasury team.

The system will change how public procurement is done.

The e-Government Procurement System (e-GP) is a digital platform. It is designed to manage all government procurement processes online.

The system replaces manual, paper-based methods.

It covers everything from tendering to contract management.

It aims to improve transparency. It also seeks to boost efficiency and accountability.

“This is a major milestone,” he said.
