Helo, Good people! Many times I am asked what really motivates me to lead a happy life.

Frankly speaking, and as a human human being, I have had my very low moments, too. We all have instances, or moments in life when we feel alone on our journey. And in this journey ,we all have more to share with others than we get to realize.

                                                                               My Story

On the 23rd of March, 2007, I was involved in a horrific road accident that almost took my life. For almost a year, I spent my time staring at hospitals ceilings and another long year completely confined in a bed in our rural home, listening to the cracking sound of iron sheets under the sweltering heat of Mandera heat. Doctors told me you will never walk again. Recovery and adjusting to a wheelchair lifestyle was tough and frustrating. Sometimes families and friends thought I would not make it.

I’ve gone through many life challenging situations, but on this one, I deeply felt the mountain was not only too high but again very steep to climb. Then God spoke to me:

“Harun, don’t give up. I’ve spared your life for a reason.”

I then understood my mission was to spread my testimonies and life experiences to motivate others, some of whom are even fighting tougher battles. I started going out. I made new friends and I read for my post graduate course in Public Administration.

Ken Poirot in his book: ‘Mentor Me’ wrote, “Life has a plan for each of us; we may not understand the ‘whys’ on our journey but every event is meaningful nonetheless.” My enduring desire is to use my experience to inspire others, be it in the work place, schools, teams,  you name it.

In life, they say, we rise by raising others and that is my life mission. let us give from what others gave to us. Many thanks to members of my family and my friends for your great support.
