Abdinoor Ali, alias Gavana Mkuu, worked with Wajir Community Radio for one-and-a-half year as a program presenter, reporter and producer. He was reportedly the Programs director of the station by the time of his departure.
In a posting to his Facebook platform, Abdinoor hinted his departure with a post that read: “A journey of a thousand mile starts with a single step.”

He continued: “Today 15th October 2014 marks a very important day in my journalism career. I have joined KBC Somali Service as a radio presenter.”
He went on to thank the manager of Community Radio Halima Kahiya and his fans for the support throughout his stay at the station.

At Iftin FM, an affiliate vernacular station to the national broadcaster KBC, he will host the breakfast show “Baranamijka HodiHodi” from 6am-10am Monday to Friday. On weekends, he will present the Reggae-Somali songs mix from 2pm-5pm.
Abdinur used to write for Wajir Times before joining Wajir Community Radio.

We wish him success in his new assignment.
