MANDERA—Employees of Moyale Liner bus have attacked two journalists going about their business on Friday afternoon in Mandera town.

Kulan Post cameraman, Adan Mohamed and Radio Midnimo reporter, Ibrahim Happy were attacked by the manager of Moyale Liner together with other company staff. Ibrahim also a contributes news articles to Kulan Post.co.ke

“They slapped and kicked us,” Adan said, adding that their attackers were not amused by the duo’s filming of the bus at the local police station after it was impounded for ferrying excess passengers.

“We were at the Mandera Referral Hospital to film a different story when the (Moyale Liner) bus staffs attacked us,” Adan narrated. The bus booking station is close to the main hospital and the staff mistook the journalist’s proximity to the station as doing a follow-up filming of the bus.

He added that the altercation did not leave their equipments destroyed.Several attempt to reach the bus bore no fruit. The duo have since reported the matter to the Mandera police station.
