GARISSA – Mr. Mahat Sheikh Salah, the Chief Executive Officer of Garissa County Teaching and Referral Hospital, has extended warm greetings and best wishes to all residents of Garissa County and the entire nation as Kenyans mark this year’s Madaraka Day.
“Madaraka Day reminds us of the courage, unity, and vision of the heroes and heroines who fought for Kenya’s internal self-rule. Their sacrifices laid the foundation for the freedoms and responsibilities we enjoy today,” he said.
Mr. Mahat said the day serves as a powerful reminder of the struggle for freedom and the shared responsibility of all Kenyans to build a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous nation.
He reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to providing quality, accessible, and compassionate healthcare to all.
“We recognize that true independence is reflected not only in good governance but also in the well-being of our people,” he said.
“We remain dedicated to ensuring that access to quality healthcare, an essential right and a cornerstone of national development, is available to all,” he added.
As the premier health institution in Northern Kenya, “Garissa County Teaching and Referral Hospital remains steadfast in its mission to deliver professional, inclusive, and life-saving services to all who seek care.”
He further commended the hospital’s healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, specialists, and support staff as well as the County Executive led by Governor Nathif Jama, for their commitment to serving the people with compassion and excellence.
“Your dedication continues to reflect the spirit of Madaraka in action,” said Mr. Mahat.
Mr. Mahat Sheikh Salah called on all Kenyans to use the Madaraka Day celebration as an opportunity to renew their commitment to building a healthier, stronger, and more resilient Kenya.
