NAIROBI—The ministry of interior and National Co-ordination of National Government has confirmed in a gazetted notice that Monday next week be a public holiday to mark Idd-ul-Adha.

The one page special issue of the Kenyan Gazette dated 9th of September declared Monday holiday, a day when Muslims usually spend time with their loved ones to celebrate the completion of Hajj ritual.
“It is notified for the general information of the public that the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Public Holidays Act, declared that Monday , the 12th September, 2016, be a public holiday to mark Idd-ul-adha, 2016.
