NAIROBI—We will dessert Jubillee Alliance Party if censor motion against Majority Leader Aden Barre Duale is not withdrawn, leaders from North Eastern Kenya threatened Thursday.

The leaders questioned the politics behind the motion, saying it was a witch-hunt. They said that they will take collective position against the party if the Central lawmakers go ahead and submit the motion to the National Assembly for deliberation.
The leaders who met at the Inter-Continental Hotel, Nairobi have defended the Garissa Township Member of Parliament while terming the bid to remove him from the post as ‘evil”
Local media reports has it that Nyeri MP’s have since change their mind and are likely to drop the bid to censure Duale.

Nyeri MPs last week vowed to remove Duale from his post, arguing that the MP failed to submit the names of terror financiers and sympathisers in the region. They said majority of the terror victims in the region are their constituents.
“We made it clear that insecurity in the north-east is no different from what happened at Westgate Mall and Mpeketoni. We are dealing with people who kill their kin and fellow Muslims,” Mr Barre Shill said.
It’s the first time North Eastern MP’s have united in the recent history.
