ODM’s Jimal “likely winner in Batalu Ward by-election”

WAJIR—Jimal Abdi Hassan of the Orange Democratic Movement is leading by significant margin in the Batalu Ward repeat polls.
12 out of the 7 stations polled, Jimal has ganered 1,164 while his closest competitor, Aden Ibrahim scooped 364 votes.
Jimal was challenge for the seat by Jubilee’s Aden Ibrahim who served as former area MCA and deputy speaker between 2013-17.
The ODM party has congratulated Jimal for the impending victory through a tweet on Wednesday evening.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) officials told Kulan Post that results from all polling station have been received and more than half of the 12 polling stations have since been counted.
