Former Vice President and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has vowed never to be swayed into joining President William Ruto’s government.

He insisted that the opposition remains united in its mission to unseat what he termed a “failed regime.”

Speaking during a press conference on Saturday, Mr. Musyoka declared that his political resolve has only grown stronger over the past two years.

He said the opposition committed to ending what he described as high taxation, corruption, and poor governance under the Kenya Kwanza administration.

“We believe William Ruto and his failed regime, with their failed policies, should be a one-term presidency. Two years later, our focus has only grown sharper and our resolve stronger,” Musyoka said.

He accused the government of burdening Kenyans with “harsh taxes” while failing to uphold accountability, integrity, and respect for the rule of law.

The former Vice President pledged that the united opposition, which includes leaders such as Eugene Wamalwa, Martha Karua, and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, would stand firm against any attempts to compromise their position.

“Anyone thinking that I, Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, Rigathi Gachagua, Martha Karua, or Fred Matiang’i—or any other of our colleagues—will be bought, intimidated, or compromised to abandon this nation must be daydreaming,” he stated.

Mr. Musyoka assured Kenyans that the opposition will not relent until it liberates the country from what he termed as a “corrupt broad-based government.”

“We will never abandon you, and we believe you will never abandon us. We are in this together to the end,” he said.

The Wiper leader framed the struggle as a “sacred mission” to restore good governance, promising to “make any sacrifice, bear any burden, and pay any price” to see it through.
