BREAKING NEWS: Prominent UON lecturer and political strategist Prof.Herman Manyora accepts Islam at Hurlingham Mosque on Wednesday at noon prayers.
He is now Mohamed Manyora.
The outspoken professor who appear on NTV morning shows did not explain his motivation when he took the ”shahada” the testimony is an Islamic creed, one of the Five Pillars of Islam, declaring belief in the oneness of God (tawhid) and the acceptance of Muhammad as God’s prophet, guided by the Imam.
It’s also not clear how long he had entertained the cross-over from Christianity, but people close to him say he was influenced by Muslim students at Nairobi University.
We tried to reach him for comment to no avail.
