Somalia, UN and Partners Meet to Boost Police Reforms

Somali and international partners met in Mogadishu this week to discuss police reforms.

The meeting brought together officials from the Federal Government, Federal Member States, the United Nations, and other partners.

It was part of the Joint Police Programme (JPP), funded by the EU and UK.

The JPP aims to strengthen Somalia’s police.

It promotes gender equality, community engagement, and better service delivery.

UN experts praised the progress made so far.

The patners agreed to continue working together to improve policing in Somalia.
