Ten killed in Wajir-bound bus fatal accidents

GARISSA—A fatal road accident reportedly occurred at 11.30 pm Sunday night along Mwingi-Garissa road near Tula area involving a loaded truck that was parked along the road.
It was rammed by a passenger bus from Nairobi to Wajir. The bus left Nairobi on Sunday at 5pm.
Officials of the ill-fated Nasib Bus confirmed that ten people died on the spot while several others were ferried to health facilities in Garissa town.
It is not the first time similar accident occurred along that stretch of road involving parked trucks and passenger bus. Just last year, scores were killed when a Wajir-bound bus rammed into a lorry on the roadside.
Mwingi-Garissa road is a narrow stretch and when a truck or a lorry is left on the roadside, it usually leaves little space for other road users to pass safely.
