GARISSA—Two suspects believed to have masterminded a robbery with violence incident in Daadab, Garissa County have been arrested.
The DCI on its official Twitter page said a firearm was recovered by a multi-agency security team following a tip-off from members of the public.
The duo Hassan Barre Hussein alias Hassan Noor Hussein and Ali Issack Muhammud alias Ali Geographia were arrested within IFO police station area, Block D3.
An AK-47 assault rifle S/NO 3576, two magazines with a total of 42 rounds of 7.62×39 mm calibre and a black military porch were recovered from the suspects.
“Earlier today, a multi-agency security team acted on information provided by members of the public, and successfully recovered one AK-47 rifle, two magazines, forty-two rounds of ammunition, and porches at Ifo Area in Daadab Sub-County, Garissa County,” a statement by the NPS read in parts.
The two are currently in custody.
