Wajir governoor reshuffles ministers
Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi today reshuffled the ministers in his government.
The governor termed the moved as timely, adding that some ministers and their Chief Officers were not getting well along, thus coming short of delivering on their targets.
Speaking to WAJIR TIMES on phone, County Press Director Yahya Dahiye confirmed the reshuffle.
“The governor reshuffled the government…the governor finally decided to improve on service delivery,” he said.
In a statement, the governor press service wrote:
Pursuant to section 30 of the County Government Act, H.E Governor Ahmed Abdullahi today made the following changes in the structure of the Government. These changes are aimed at improving service delivery;
1. The CEC for Energy, Environment & Natural Resource is Abdirahman Ibrahim (formerly; Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries) Muhuba Hassan Arte is the new Chief Officer (formerly; Governors Office)
2 CEC Trade, Industries, Co-operatives is Mohamud Abdirahman (formerly; Labor and Decentralized Units and Town Administrator). Mohamed Weli Mohamed is the new chief officer (formerly; Energy, Environment & Resource)
3 CEC Education, Youth, Sports is Habiba Hussein (formerly; Trade, Industries & Co-operatives) The new chief officer is Abdullahi Hassan Maalim – (formerly;Roads)
4 CEC Lands, Housing and Planning is Abdiaziz Abdullahi (formerly; Roads, Public Works & Transport.) The Chief officer is Abdi Ibrahim (formerly; Education)
5 CEC Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries is Yussuf Abdi Gedi (formerly; Water) 1. chief officer for agriculture remains Adan Dahiye 2.New chief officer for Livestock & Fisheries is Roney Mayow (formerly; Labor and Decentralized Units and Town Administrator)
6 CEC Water is Abdi Osman (formerly; Education, Youth, Sports)
Ahmed Qolosh remains chief officer for water.
7 CEC Roads, Public Works & Transport is Ahmed Mohamed Abdi (formerly Lands, Housing) 1. Jimale Hassan- chief officer for Roads (formerly; Lands, Housing 7 planning) 2.Abdi Noor M. Hussein- chief officer Transport & Public Works (formerly Trade, Industries, Co-operatives)
8 Governor’s office, Public service, special programs & Decentralized units. 1.Hillow Mumin- chief officer Public Service & Special programs
2. Abass Abdullahi- chief officer- Decentralized Units and Town Administration. (formerly; Public Works, Transport.)
