Wajir MCAs impeach county minister over “abuse of office”

The CEC for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Mr Yusuf Abdi Gedi was released of his post in a motion of no-confidence tabled by Habaswein MCA, Hussein Abdirahman.

WAJIR—-Members of the Wajir County assembly have moved to impeach a county executive committee members who they accused of abuse of office and conflict of interest.

The CEC for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Mr Yusuf Abdi Gedi was released of his post in a motion of no-confidence tabled by Habaswein MCA, Hussein Abdirahman.

On Wednesday, the assembly tabled the report. 30 MCA’s voted to remove the CEC Gedi while none voted to retain him.
