Wajir: One person dead, several injured as machete-wielding man goes on a killing spree
WAJIR—One person died in Wajir town on Monday night while three others got injured after a machete-wielding man went on a killing spree.
According to the Wajir East OCPD Kennedy Samani, Abdifatah Mohamed, 32, was armed with a machete and slashed at anyone in sight between Ali Maow location and the Wajir Refferal Hospital.
“Many of the victims bore deep machete cuts on their heads, stomachs, hands, necks, legs and backs,” police report seen by Kulan Post said in part.
The injured were rushed to Wajir Referral Hospital and other health facilities for further treatment
The suspect was disarmed and arrested shortly afterwards.
