NAIROBI—The National Super Alliance has expressed its concern over the set date for the repeat election citing lack of consultation by the IEBC.

In a letter written to the IEBC, NASA says October 26th is Uhuru Kenyatta’s birthday and hence favoring him.

“We feel that the IEBC succumbed to pressure from Jubilee to hold the repeat election on a date that is more favorable  to Jubilee.” states the letter.

The opposition also expressed their shock that IEBC could be engaged in such a malicious activity by agreeing to a such unappealing election date.

“This is unacceptable and a more favorable date that reflects the wishes of Kenyans should be picked.” the letter also states.

NASA also urged the IEBC to give this concern the attention it deserves.
