Survey reveals majority of Kenyans beleive country not headed in the right direction

NAIROBI—Majority of Kenyans believe something is wrong with how the country is managed, a survey has revealed.

Corruption is the main reason Kenyans are pessimistic about the future.

The National Police and the county governments lead as the most corrupt with 78% and 89 percent respectively.

More cases of corruption reported in the office of the Deputy President than the President’s with the former leading with 51% and the latter with 46.4%.

“58.2 percent of Kenyans feel the country heads in wrong direction, 73 percent feel corruption has increased in the last one year,” the Infotrak survey revealed.
