In a statement on Tuesday, Hassan M Ahmed, Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor said Abdi Dakane did not author the resignation later.

“The letter circulating in the social media purporting the resignation of the H.E the Deputy Governor is fake (sic),” the statement said.

It added that, “…the Deputy Governor has raised some reconcilable concerns with the Governor on the management of the county affairs, we hereby refute the fictitious letter doing rounds in social media as nothing but a forgery.”

Ahmed said the deputy governor “remains loyal to the governor (Ali Korane)” and will continue dispensing his roles.”

The deputy governor, Abdi Dakane last week announced his fall-out with the governor over what he said was a deliberate attempt by the governor to dishonor their pre-election pacts.
