GARISSA—Garissa county commissioner James Kianda urged both stake holders and candidates to  refrain in any form of malpractice that will disrupt or cause attention during thewhole exam period.

Addressing  the press today in Sankuri primary school where he toured a number of examination centres in Garissa town area, county commissioner said that anyone found with any illegal materials, whether  both the supervisors or the candidate the law will stretch its hand to such persons .

“Whoever attempts to engage in any form of irregularities will be dealt with decisively and within the confines of the law.” he said.

James Kianda also urged the candidates not to let down the county.

He assured the residents of Garissa county that despite the heavy rains that  cutoff  the roads, exam materials will reach those areas on time.

He also  added  that  there  has  been  concerns  that  Alshabaab militia may disrupt examination centres that are proximity to the borders such as Ijara Damajaley, Amuma, Bodhai that borders the Boni forest and parts of Hulugho.

He assured parents and the entire county security has been beefed up.

“We have deployed enough security personnel in those volatile areas so that our candidates will have a safe environment to do their exams.” he concluded
