Garissa Township MP and Majority Leader in the National Assembly, Aden Barre Duale was on Sunday fronted as a Jubilee candidate in the 2032 General Elections.

Speaking in Isiolo during a fundraiser for Al-hidaya mosque where Duale was the chief guest, area leaders challenged the Majority Leader to take up the party leadership after the Deputy President, William Ruto has served his term.

President Uhuru Kenyatta last year said Jubilee would lead the country for two decades until 2032.

The vocal Garissa MP, who is an avid defender of Jubilee administration, is the third in line in the hierarchy of the party leadership.

The leaders asked the 10 million Muslim population in the country to support Duale.

The suggestion to have Duale vie for the presidency was fronted by nominated Senator Fatuma Dhullo, Isiolo Governor Godana Doyo and Nairobi County Assembly Minority Leader Abdi Guyo.

The announcement comes at the backdrop of a conference held last week in Isiolo where leaders from the patrol communities said they would form a political party ahead of the next General Elections slated for next year. The president and his Deputy were present at the conference, but Duale was away in Garissa.
