A day after the announcement of the much awaited Kenya certificate of primary education, girls continue to outshine their male counterparts as most of them emerge with marvelous result of 400 marks and above.
The top girl In Garissa emerged with a total marks of 423 out of possible 500
Farhyia Ahmed Khalif couldn’t hide her joy, terming her success as due to hard work, discipline and encouragement from both her teachers and parents .
Speaking to kulan post, farhiya a young, decent and eloquent girl who was a student at a local private school, shunshine academy, said she was happy and knew she will score those marks,
“I am happy to have scored the highest marks in our school , I was certain and hopeful in getting those marks”
Flunked by her mother and hundreds of her former schoolmate, the 14 year old girl said she hopes to join alliance girls where she will subsequently pursue her dream career of becoming a surgeon.
The school also had six pupils who attained more than 400 marks, mostly girls, they include Farhyia Ahmed Khalif with423, Valentine Frida Nelson 420, Abdi 415, Aisha Abdullahi 408, Samaan Ali 403.
