NAIROBI— I am a family man with no intention to marry another wife, Majority Leader Aden Duale has said.

He was responding to a claim by the tabloid “The Nairobian” published Friday where the Garissa legislator was alleged to have shared romantic relationship with Nazlin Omar, the former presidential aspirant.

Duale is married to the daughter of retired army general Mohamuud Mohammed while Nazlin was married until early this year when her husband died of cancer.

Giving details of his marriage, Duale said:

‘’I have five sons with eldest in university and the youngest in nursery. Dowry is not prohibited in our community.

” I paid four cows for my wife’’ Duale, a JKUAT graduate with an Executive Masters in Business Administration, said.

Duale who has been a member of parliament since 2007, added that he does not go home later than 8pm.

“When I leave office around 6pm, I pass through the parliament bar, have a chat with some colleagues then I go home where I have dinner prepared and served by my wife.

This has been the routine since I got married,” he said.
A man who defeated former deputy speaker Farnah Maalim in the August Garissa Township polls added that he does not take lunch unless he has a lunch appointments.

Duale is a man who takes matters of the heart dearly if the audio recording that was leaked is anything to go by.

The recordings involve the Garissa township member of parliament and former presidential aspirant Nazlin Umar.

Duale who is known for taking jibes at his political enemies and defending the Jubilee government is heard pleading for a place in Nazlins heart, as she asks for a car and a house.
