LONDON—French footballer, Paul Pogba becomes the newest most expensive footballer in the history of the “beautiful game.”
The 23-year-old completed a world-record £93.8 million move from Juventus on Tuesday morning to conclude the summer-long transfer saga.
The French player returns after 4 years away after he left for Juventus for £1.5m in 2012. The fee surpasses the £85m Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Wales forward Gareth Bale in 2013.
Pogba will be wearing number 6 which was previously worn by Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Laurent Blanc, Jaap Stam and Gary Pallister.
