Tuesday, November 28 was the day that was marked in the country with the swearing in ceremony of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William ruto as they took oath of office for the next four years.
This day that was also marked as a National holiday, many Kenyans flocked the Kasarani grounds to witness the ceremony.
However in Garissa county residents have raised mixed reaction over the swearing ceremony with some urging the president to unite Kenyans in his second and last term, others have urged him to fulfill all the developments he promised during his first and the second term.
Speaking to kulan post zainab muhamud burale a business woman said that uhuru being sworn In made her happy and what she needs is peace to prevail all over.
“this country needs to move forward lets maintain peace and tranquillity allover” she added
The residents also expressed there’re reactions in different manner with some going into celebration following the proceedings on National televisions.
“Elections are over it is time to work lets put politics and our differences a side”said one of the resident.
A section of elders from garissa township sent their s congratulatory messages to the president and urged leaders of the the county to comeback and help the president to unite kenyas.
Garissa county is home to majority leader in the National Assembly aden duale
