ELDORET—A sombre mood engulfed hundreds of people as Kapsoya Ward aspirant James Ratemo’s three children were putto rest at their province in Nyangusu, Kisii County, a month after their bodies were sighted in River Nzoia.

The three boys—Clifford Nyambane, six, Dan Nyamweya, five, and Glen Ongagi—were taken hostage by unknown assailants before they were murdered in cold blood and their bodies later dumped in River Nzoia

Mourners could barely hold back tears of pain as the caskets of the three children were escorted before to their final resting place at the family’s rural home.

Hundreds of bereaved family and friends attended the minor’s mass which was held at their home as early as 7 a.m in an emotional burial commemoration which presided over by the Seventh Day Adventist Pastor Thomas Ngoko. Reading from the book of Revelation 20:12, Pastor Ngoko eulogised their souls that left too soon.

Pastor Ngoko said “They could skip their breakfast just to get to church early every Sabbath day. These are innocent lives that Satan has taken away from us,”.

The pastor called on the children’s father to surrender politics and become a born again.

“Join the church,” he said.

Autopsy results conducted on Thursday, May 25 2017 indicated that the three children of Kapsoya KANU MCA aspirant, James Ratemo were strangled before their bodies were drowned into River Nzoia

“The bodies had wounds on the neck and chest showing signs of strangulation,” the report said.

Ratemo’s three children went missing after they attended a church service at Eldoville SDA church in Kapsoya, Eldoret before they were kidnapped.
