IEBC’s ICT manager Chris Musando
NAIROBI—The vehicle belonging to IEBC head of ICT, Chris Musando was found at TRM parking lot in Nairobi two days after he went missing.
The grey Land Rover Discovery is now in police custody at Kasarani Police Station and police have intesified investigations on the whereabouts of Mr. Musando.
Nairobi County Police Commander Japhet Koome said the vehicle was dusted for fingerprints early today morning.
“It is hard for us at this point to tell whether he is safe or not, but we hope for the best, “We will let you know of any development.” Mr Koome said.
Musando was filling in for IEBC director of ICT James Muhati who was sent on a 30-day compulsory leave for not cooperating with the audit department.
The commission’s chairman Wafula Chebukati said Musando was last seen on Friday night.
“The last communication from him is an SMS sent to one of his colleagues at around 3 am on Saturday morning,” Mr.Chebukati said.
The police, are also trying to trace the manager’s movements to establish where he may be.
