NAIROBI—IEBC ICT manager Chris Musando, who has been missing since friday, is dead.
Police on Monday made this shocking revelation that his body and that of an unidentified woman were found in Kikuyu and taken to the City Mortuary on Saturday morning.
Members of Mr Musando’s family went to the mortuary and positively identified him. Many burst into tears, with attendants and friends having a hard time calming them down.
His vehicle had earlier been found abandoned at Thika Road Mall, Nairobi and police had promised to intesfy his search.
IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati and top commission officials were also at the mortuary to help identify the body.
He was one of the few people with knowledge on the location of IEBC servers. Musando had reported to Central police station about death threats to him.
The death comes a week to Kenya’s General Election.
