GARISSA—Governor Nathif Jama has accused the Ministry of Health of neglecting the equipment they supply to the counties.
Speaking when he unveiled an oxygen plant at the Garissa Refferal Hospital, Nathif said the decision to end the lease was a sabotage by the national government who had delegated the decision to source, procure and service the equipment in good faith.
His sentiments echo those of the Chair of the Council of Governors, Ann Waiguru who two days earlier said services at some 121 health facilities across the country had grinded into a halt due to a lack of maintenance and service to equipment occasioned by the expiry of the MES contract.
