MANDERA—A group of gunmen suspected to be Alshabab have raided Elwak town, Mandera County.
Several people among them two security officers manning the Equity Bank Elwak branch as well as two civilians reported killed.
Other figures put the death toll on five people. Eyewitness account has it that the attackers used a Toyota probox to execute their deadly attack on the bank.
Equity Bank in Elwak is located not far from Elwak Police Station.
It was not immediately clear whether the assailants made away with bank cash.
