Masalani: School dormitory burnt down two weeks ago renovated

GARISSA—About Sh50 million from the Ijara NG-CDF has been spent to pay school fees for students in eight secondary schools across Ijara Sub County.

Ijara MP Abdi Ali Sheikhow made the remarks at Yussuf Haji Girls’ Secondary School in Masalani town, where a dormitory was destroyed by fire two weeks ago.

The dormitory has since been renovated using funds from the local NG-CDF.

Sheikow advised the 450 students at the school to study hard and maintain discipline to excel in their academic performance and better their future.

During the colourful function attended by the school’s Board of Management, parents, students, and teachers, the MP promised to buy school uniforms for 70 Form 2 students at the school, sanitary pads, and headscarfs for the learners.

The School principal, Mrs. Farhiya Mohamed, thanked the legislator for supporting the school.
