Police commence probe into Wajir Tuesday attack

Investigations into the Wajir attack that claimed the lives of four persons have commenced with police appealing to the families of the deceased to help in identifying the bodies after being burnt beyond recognition.

Police spoke person Zipporah Mboroki has called on families to report at the city mortuary to assist the police with carrying out DNA tests for identification.

The motive of the attackers of Tuesday attack that left four people including a 12 year old boy dead is yet to be known with the perpetrators still at large as investigations commences. This gets under way as families of the deceased failing to have closure of lying to rest their loved ones as their bodies were burnt beyond recognition. The current stalemate has prompted the police to appeal to the families to report to the city mortuary to help identify the bodies. Police spoke person Zipporah Mboroki has called on families to report at the city mortuary between 8.00am to 5.00pm of any day to assist the police with carrying out DNA tests for identification. The persons killed during the 7.30pm attack were all non-locals with the injured still recuperating at a Nairobi hospital after they were airlifted for further treatment.
