WAJIR—At least 15 armed men have reportedly attacked Aqal Aar location on the border between Wajir and Garissa county Sunday morning.
The armed men set the area borehole on fire.
Tension is relatively high as the fear of retaliation escalates.
A team of security men from Habaswein sub-county have been dispatched to assess the effect of the dawn attack.
It was reported that the borehole was in good shape. Preliminary investigation indicate that the attackers came on foot.
Aqal Aar location has been a contentious area since 2013 when militia men from Aulihan and Muqabul sub-clans engaged in gunfight over the geographic location of the tiny settlement.
