NAIROBI—A Court in Nairobi has on Tuesday barred the teacher’s employer from effecting more transfers from Northeastern counties.
Justice Hellen Wasilwa barred the Teachers Service Commission from issuing further transfer letters to non-local teachers.
The Employment and Labour Relations Court in Nairobi dispense interim order restraining and prohibiting the Teachers Service Commission from transferring any more non-local teachers from Garissa, Wajir and Mandera counties.
The case was filed by Mr Hussein Kussow Yarrow, who asked the court for an order restraining the TSC from further transferring teachers from the North-Eastern region.
The TSC and Nancy Macharia given seven days to respond to the application. The court set date of mention on 12th March 2020
