GARISSA—Ten police officers were Sunday evening killed along Damajale-Harehare road, Garissa County when their vehicle run over a landmine.
The blast from the improvised explosive device (IED) damaged the vehicle, a statement by the police Inspector-General Hillary Mutyambai said.
“The officers were on patrol along the road that bears the Somali border. We have sent reinforcements and investigations launched,” he said.
