“I want to announce to the people of Wajir that I am ready to serve them,” Ugas said.

Ugas was endorsed in July by the Fai sultanate headed by Sultan Najib. The Fai is the largest Degodia sub-clan and Ugas will battle it out with the incumbent, Ahmed Abdullahi.
