GARISSA—The appointing committee of the County Executive Committees that were nominated by the governor Ali Bunnow yesterday concluded  the vetting process of the three remaining CECs.

Addressing the press at the county assembly grounds house speaker, Ibrahim Abass said the process started few weeks ago, but will end in due course.

“We will vet all the CECs and submit the list at the county assembly chamber for approval,” he added.

Among the CECs that were being vetted was nominee for water docket, Issa Dubow.

Issa Dubow said he will lay down development for water strategic plan to curb the perennial  water shortage in the arid Garissa county.

The vetting panel chaired by speaker Ibrahim Abass also vetted the CEC nominee for education.

Also vetted were Issa Yarrow (agriculture and livestock) and Habiba Abdi (education).

The other seven CECs were on Monday took oath of office in a ceremony that was attended by governor Ali Korane.
