WAJIR—Former Saudi envoy has been cleared by the electoral body Thursday at the ICT hall in Wajir.
Mohamed Abdi Mohamud and his deputy Ali Mukhtar led hundreds of supporters in a march of support as the gubernatorial candidate presented his papers.
“I am with the team to witness the clearance,” Ali Osman, a supporter told Kulan Post.
To the supporters, his clearance was significant after the university degree of Mohamed Abdi was questioned by his competitors.
At mid-day, he was cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to vie on a Jubilee ticket.
Salah Abdi Sheikh, Ahmed Muhumed and Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi were also cleared.
