GARISSA—Garissa governor, Ali Korane now hits back at Township legislator as war of words escalate.
Following bare-knucked criticism directed at the governor and section of MPs from the county on Sunday, Korane said Aden Duale has chosen to wage personal attack against him.
“I don’t understand why a leader of his stature would choose to go for personalised attacks instead of tackling issues touching on the public,” the Governor said.
On Sunday, the Majority Leader in the National Assembly accused governor Korane of “unfair distribution of public funds.”
“The funds are supposed to be given out without considering whether the beneficiaries voted for you in the last elections or not,” Duale said.
Governor Korane said he attended the meeting with Yusuf Haji but did not mention Duale by name.
