THIKA—Mombasa governor Hassan Ali Joho received his second degree from the Gretsa University in Thika on Wednesday.

The governor, however, did not attend the graduation ceremony. He was awarded Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a Second Class honours, Lower Division.

Joho joined Gretsa in 2014 under the Distance Learning Programme after an earlier degree he acquired from the Kampala University in Uganda was disputed by the Uganda National Council of Higher Education the same year.

Not only did Joho missed the graduation ceremony, he did not post the information in his social media platforms despite being an active user of the mediums.

More than 1,000 students graduated in various degree, diploma and certificate courses.
