Uhuru unveils new cabinet secretaries list

NAIROBI—Earlier, the new cabinet secretary nominees were unveiled by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Amina Mohamed, the former Foreign Affairs minister is now on the education docket.

The list also includes Chief administrative secretaries and Principal Secretaries.

They all include:

Margaret Kobia- Ministry of Public Service youth and gender

John Munyes- Ministry of Mining

Eugene Wamalwa- Ministry of Devolution

Rachel Omamo- Ministry of Defence

Monica Juma- Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Siccily Kariuki- Ministry of Health

Rashid Achesa Mohammed- Ministry of Sports

Najib Balala- Ministry of Tourism

Farida Karoney- Ministry of Lands

Ukur Yattani- Ministry of Social Protection

Peter Munya- Ministry of East African Integration

Belio Kipsang- Ministry of Education and Early Learning

Amina Mohamed- Ministry of Higher Learning

Joe Mucheru- Ministry of ICT

Adan Mohamed- Ministry of Trade

Keriako Tobiko-  Ministry of Environment

Fred Matiang’i- Ministry of Interior

Simon Cherugui- Ministry of Water

Henry Rotich- Ministry of Treasury

James Macharia- Ministry of Transport

Chief administrative secretaries include:

Patrick Ntutu – Interior

Ababu Namwamba – Foreign Affairs

Rachel Shebesh – Youth and Gender

Hussein Dado – Devolution

Chris Obure – Transport

Principal Secretaries include:

Macharia Kamau – Foreign Affairs

Lilian Omolo – Youth and Gender

Andrew Kamau – Petroleum and Mining

Charles Sunkuli- Environment

Paul Maringa – Transport
