MANDERA—Leaders in Mandera County have welcomed the nomination of Abdikadir Mohamed as the ambassador of Kenya to South Korea.
In a statement on Tuesday, the governor of Mandera, Ali Roba thanked the president for the nomination.
On my own behalf, the Jubillee leadership in Mandera and the greater people of Mandera, I would like to thank the President and the Deputy President for nominating Hon Abdikadir to the Position Of ambassador To South Korea. May the Almighty Allah bless you and protect your leadership, ” Ali Roba said in a statement.
Abdikadir Mohamed was the legal and constitutional advisor to president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Before his appointment as presidential advisor, Abdikadir was the member of Parliament for Mandera North constituency.
He is credited for the successful adoption of the current constitution of Kenya which was promulgated in August 2010.
President Uhuru made the announcement of Abdikadir’s appointment at a press conference at State House where he also accepted the resignation of Prof. Muigai as the Attorney General. Muigai was replaced by Justice Paul Kihara.
