The story was first shared by the former deputy speaker in the National Assembly, Farah Maalim through his twitter handle.

Korane refuted Farah’s tweets, claiming they were baseless and should be ignored.

“I have come across baseless allegations by one Farah Maalim, I will respond comprehensively tomorrow, until then ignore this desperate move by him,” he wrote on his facebook page.

However, the institution, In a letter dated January 30th to Musyoka Murambi $ Associates, stated Ali Korane did not graduate from the University.

“This is to clarify that Mr Korane Ali Bunow, is not a graduate of degree of Master’s of Business Administration of this university on December 2, 2011,” part of the letter read.

A spot check by Kulan post on the list of graduates in 2011 from the University, Ali Bunow’s name was missing.

Forgery is a crime punishable by law and he might lose his seat for the same.

Mr Korane now joins a growing list of politicians with fake academic qualifications.
