New York—A Muslim woman clad in hijab was Friday thrown out of a Trump rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina after she stood silently for a few moments amid Trump speech.

Rose Hamid, a 52-year old flight attendant had to be escorted out of the hall as the republican presidential front-runner, Donald Trump looked on.

After the ejection, Hamid told CNN she was booed down by Trump supporters, although he did not say a word about her ejection as she was escorted out and he remained silent.

“Do you have a bomb?” A Trump supporter asked her, ” “No, do you have a bomb?” She joked.

“They taunted me with Arabic religious phrases like, ‘God is great and Issa loves you’ to which I replied, ‘Issa (Jesus) loves you too,” she added.

Hamid said she attended the rally to make a point since Trump was stoking an Anti-Muslim rhetoric in the US following comment he made seeking to ban Muslims from entering the US. She said, ““I came here with the sincere belief [that] if people get to know each other one-on-one they will stop being afraid of each other and we can get rid of the hate in the world,” she said. Hamid added that she came to show Trump and his supporters what a Muslim actually looked like.

“ I Came to the rally to let let Trump supporters see what a Muslim looks like,” she said during the CNN interview.

Asked if she would vote for Trump, she replied, “No way. I am sorry but I don’t think so.”

Here’s the CNN interview.
