NAIROBI—Speaker of the National Assembly, Justin Muturi has ordered the Minority Leader, John Mbadi out of the chambers following his rejection of Uhuru’s  presidency.

Speaker Justin Muturi ordered Mbadi to withdraw the remarks, but the Suba South MP remained adamant.

“There is no president in this country to make appointments. I would rather withdraw from the chambers than withdraw the remark,” he said.

Mr. John Mbadi is among the radical opposition legislators who are opposed to Uhuru’s reelection. He has severally called on Raila Odinga to be sworn in as the fifth president of the country.

While ordering his ejection, Muturi said he would not allow politics on the floor of the House.

“I will not allow that under my watch,” he added.

Mbadi was against a motion by the Leader of Majority Aden Duale who  wanted the speaker to approve a procedural change on how the Speaker should communicate in case President Uhuru Kenyatta submits cabinet nominees to Parliament.
